Sleazy Peek: Harrison BDP - It's Foggy Outside (Artesian Sounds)

Instead of trying his luck in Berlin like most budding producers, Aleksandir, responsible for one of last year's standout releases (the delightfully leftfield Turtle Nipper EP on Blind Jack's Journey), recently moved to Izmir, Turkey. We spoke a while back and he told me he was moving over his equipment too, as he's determined to step things up a notch and make a living out of music. He seems to be grabbing the bull by the proverbial bollocks, launching Artesian Sounds with his pal Emre can Swim, a fresh new imprint.

The label's first release comes courtesy of Cardiff's Harrison BDP, and we get to share 'It's Foggy Outside' with you, the showstopper of the EP. He managed to create the kind of warm and dreamy deephouse Fresh & Low did so well in the 90s. Warm pads, a massive bassline, simple yet effective synth stabs and a perfectly placed classic vocal (which I'm sure I've heard countless times before, I can't place it for the life of me, so if you read this, help me out here!)

The track has been doing the rounds on Youtube for a while, but is now properly mastered and finally committed to wax alongside 'Almonds' and a Robert S remix of 'Foggy'.

Class stuff, keep 'em peeled!
